OAKHILL WINS 2009 SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP

Each year all Division 1 ISA Schools compete for the Schools Championship Shield. Points are awarded for where each A and B team finish. Eg with our 15 A's winning their competition, we get 1 point. With our 1st XV coming 3rd, we get 3 points. Therefore, the School with the lowest total is declared the winner. i am very pleased to say that Oakhill and St Augustine's have won the Shield for 2009. With the final games being played on the 16th August Vs St Stanislaus in Bathurst, congratulations to the following Oakhill teams who are 2008 premiers:

14 A's, B's and C's

15 B's

16 B's

4th XV.

The 2nd XV, 3rd XV and 16 A's all went to Stannies undefeated, as were the Stannies teams. As is the case in all sport, there must be a winner and a loser and unfortunately, the 2nds, 3rds and 16 A's were all on the wrong end of the scoreboard. Well done to Stannies on securing the 1st XV premiership for 2008.
