Accident Insurance

All students at Oakhill are covered by the College Insurance policy. This policy has limited cover for an accident which may occur on the Sporting field.

It is recommended that all families have private health insurance if participating in the College Sporting program.

In the case of a serious injury on the Sporting field, parents must contact Mr Tulevski, Sportsmaster as soon as possible after the injury. The College bursar will contact the insurance company for further advice

Representative pathways

As a full member of the Independent Sporting Association, Oakhill students have the opportunity to represent at a higher level via the ISA pathway. Although Oakhill is a Catholic School and in the past has sent students to the CCC trials, in 2008 and beyond, our only avenue for selection to a higher team (eg NSW, Australia) is via the ISA/CIS. A full list of Sports, including trial dates can be found at the CIS web site, listed below.

www.aisnsw.edu.au/cis/

Not all students are able to attend ISA/CIS trials. If the sport is offered at Oakhill, potential triallists must be registered Oakhill payers to trial. If a student does not play for the College then he/she is unable to trial for an ISA/CIS team. Only members of 1sts teams (where applicable) are eligible to be presented by the College as ISA/CIS triallists. In addition, the Sportsmaster reserves the right to exclude a student form attending a representative trial.

Once selected in a representative team, students may be excused from class to attend training or competition. Students must ensure all work missed is completed as soon as possible upon their return. Year 11/12 students who may miss an assessment task must contact the Director of Studies before their absence to make alternate arrangements (if possible).

Physiotherapy

Oakhill College is fortunate to have the services of Mr Phillip Camden, owner of Hills Physiotherapy, to ensure Oakhill Sportsmen and women are in the best possible condition for their sport.

For all home games, Mr Camden is on site from 11am and can assist with strapping, first aid and offer advice on rehabilitation. Oakhill students are encouraged to contact Mr Camden on 0403190456 for any assistance with injury prevention or rehabilitation.
