Introduction to Oakhill Sport

Sport plays an important part in the co-curricular life of students at Oakhill College and all students are expected to participate in as many as they can in their years of school at Oakhill College. Students are encouraged to obey the rules and most of all enjoy participation in sport.  All coaches are qualified in their respective sport and, where possible, students will be placed in a team that reflects their ability level.

Each student is expected to abide by the College Code of Conduct when representing Oakhill College. In addition, all parents and spectators are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct. The ISA also has a Code of Conduct , similar to that of the College. The Code of Conduct can be found on this web site.

Oakhill students compete in the Independent Sporting Association for the majority of Sports. This is a weekend based competition whereby Oakhill teams play other Independent Schools across NSW. In some sports (Rugby and soccer), the season begins with a number of trial games, followed by a 7 to 8 week competition. For further information on the ISA, click on the link below:

Whilst sport is not compulsory at the College, students are encouraged to represent Oakhill in their selected sport. Each year the College fields in excess of 100 teams, comprising of only Oakhill students. Representative students have the opportunity to participate in the ISA representative teams, then Combined Independent Schools team (CIS) and eventually NSW and Australia.
